Hello all, New to the forum from Molalla OR. Just purchased this machine, 1900 hrs and about ready to do the 2000 mile service. Any suggestions appreciated on just about anything. It's all new to me coming from a backgroud using older dozer, excavator and tractor equipment throughout my 66 year old life. Damn thing is like a Cadillac in comparison. Planning to do a lot of work on my 30 acre property from clearing heavy wooded areas, putting in roads, site prep, etc. Might put it to work on friends and family property as well. Are there ways to get used service, parts and operators manuals without buying new other than ebay? Thinking rental outfits that turn over equipment might have them laying around. IDK

Welcome to HEF Jay . At the Deere bookstore you have the option to download a free copy of the Operators manual. Thanks for the warm welcome, Dave! That is a much better download version, I somehow came across one where the pics didn't show well.

You may have more friends than you realize now that you have a Dozer

I did several jobs for neighbors around me with an old hydraulic straight blade 9U D6 back in the 90s But not all for free, now I'm always good for a barter. I leveled out a side of a hill to fit my 40X72 shop, the concrete guy brought his laser in and looked at me with the questionable grin and asked, "how in the hell did you do this?" within less than a 2" variance.

The track shown is too tight. That will wear components faster and is a little harder on the final drive. It should have pretty good life left in the undercarriage though with only 1900 hours.

That was my thought too, need to back them off I believe to about 1.5" sag from carrier to idler? Yes, undercarriange is real nice, haven't put a caliper or measurment, but don't really need to.
