Trailer lights were working properly, then last Friday the driver did something to mess up his electrical cord. We changed it out with a new one and everything worked properly the rest of the day. This morning, there were no trailer lights. We found 2 fuses related to the running lights and brake lights that were blown, but now the right blinker is the only thing that will not work. Checked power at electrical socket at the catwalk the next connector back on the trailer light harness that was run along the frame, no power for the blinker on either. Would anyone know where the trailer light harness goes back to? Or if there are fuses related to trailer blinkers?
The trailer light harness should go to the junction box. I would check the Right Turn signal there, next. What model year is this rig?
2025. Where is that junction box typically located?
What he has posted is a aftermarket box, at truck after frame or trailer draw bar or rear tail board.
Are you sure? I thought that too, but there is a sales order code for it . This T880 I just ordered has one on it from the factory mounted on the last crossmember. IDK?
Could be that's newer than any I've been around. But that would be about right for KW, start using a junction box that costs 20 in a parts store, put their number on it and sell it for 80. Still aftermarket.
It ended up being a fuse on the engine side firewall, labeled "SCM".
Thanks for the update.
2025. Would that not be warranty or you are far from the dealer
It's just a phone call away from finding out.
