Cat 289D TAW03183. Well I’m back. I had a no start problem a while back. A new wiring harness and a new ecm it finally started. A couple of other problems fixed and I thought I had a working machine. Got on it today and turned the key on and no fuel pump sound. The machine started and ran for about 10 seconds. Can I disconnect the pump and apply power to it to test it?
Don't see why not. Chances are it has probably failed if you have power to the pump and good ground. Pretty common failure those pumps.
Thanks for the response 92. I’ll check for power and see if the pump is working.
