I have a 319D John Deere Skid steer loader ran out of diesel and now won't start I already tried to prime but no diesel is coming out of the fuel filter.any suggestions please.
Maybe the primer on the filter head failed. Also, the operator's manual states to pre-fill the fuel filter when changing the filter, so if you ran it out of fuel...... I personally don't like pre-filling filters because of the risk of contamination getting to the injection components. However desperate times call for desperate measures.
Thank you for replying, How can I check if the primer is failing?
Disassemble and inspect.
I had been trying to find this site again to respond and thank you. I did what you recommended and it worked, thank you for the advice. I was able to actually use my skid steer for a long time and get some jobs done around my property. Recently though, I had been using it without issues and I left it parked to use the next day. Well, it didn't want to turn on so i looked into it and it was a battery issue that I was able to fix. However now the arms won't work. The pedal that controls the arms feels stuck and won't go down. The bucket does tilt, so it's only the arms that are giving me trouble. Any advice on what I could look into ? I've tried looking online for ideas , but they don't seem to fit the description for my issue exactly. Thank you
