I'm working on a 336, the impliments won't lower, so i thought i would replace the acumalator and still has the same problem. i start the machine and run it for a few seconds then i shut it off and turn the key back on and making sure i engage the pilot lockout. anyone got any ideas as to what i can check? i pull the check valve on the polit manifold and all looked good there. thanks
serial number please do you mean to lower the boom with dead engine .if fitted with cat hose burst valve wont lower unless you manually undo bleed down valve.the procedure is in the operators manual. mark
yeah it has an accumulator to lower the boom after you shut down the engine, in order for it to work you need to turn the ignition on and engage the the hyd lock. i don't have the serial number right now, if i can't figure it out tomorrow then i'll get the numbers and post them here.
Why u need to lower the boom without engine ?
it's the way the machine is suppose to work, and i like to fix things right. found the problem today, the system was still full of air, run the heck out of it today and all works well. thanks for the replies
