buddy barry is on a road trip with the 1996 western star semi and he phoned to say the starter is acting up. of course it is the worse time for this to happen because he is bring back my TOON BARGE after the mining company filed for bankruptcy and stiffed me for $55,000.00 cdn money in rent. of course it is a wide load of 16 feet and he has 2 escort vehicles so not a good time to have starter troubles. can anybody get me some numbers so i can find a starter for him. http://kingofobsolete.ca/TOON_BARGE_2007_FINISHED_WEBPAGE.htm thansk KoO Published Author
The starter would have been put on by wester star. 99.9% of all cat truck engines were shipped with out a starter
thansk, so that is why i can't find the starter on the caterpillar on-line websites. thansk KoO Published Author
There are a few different sizes, could be a 37, 38, 40, or 42 mt delco remy starter. Without reading the tag on the starter, or a western start parts book your kinda screwed. If you can get a number off the starter, I bet there is one at napa.
3406b caterpillar starter: Hmm... you look a lot "younger" than I thought you would have... Dang, that's too bad about the $55,000.00... OCR
thansk geoffd, when buddy barry phones the KINGDOM, i'll ask if he can see a tag on the starter. learning something new everyday. ocr, i'm 42 and have always looked 10 years younger then my age. it was really hard to buy beer even at a legal age, LOL. it is only $55,000.00 which i was going to spend on my cats and fix up my bathroom. oh well at least i never owned stocks in any of these fly by night mining companies. i would buy stock in fast food because no matter how tough times get, people will go out for something to eat. thansk KoO Published Author
it is better a number of the starter be offered.
