Just got a 83 l9000 with a 3406a Di, no Jake's, it needs them . Will w setup off a b model work? Or what do I need?
Probably. I think you'll want a model 346D, used on the 3406 and the "B" as long as it's early enough to be mechanical, non electronic engine, and not with Air to Air cooler for the turbo air.
That engine only uses one head. Bad design. I had one get one hole hot and bamo need 2500 dollar head.
Does anybody know where I could get a 637E Scraper with a rear 3406 engine? I have been told they are available.
I have heard of cases of replacing the front 3408 with a 3406, but the back is a 3306. I could not find one listed, maybe it's possible. Anyhow, this should be on the scraper forum.
