410 g engine guage

temp guage maxes out when plugged in, changed sending unit same problem.input voltage is at 5.5 so far found no wiring issues,unplug sending unit and guage drops any ideas

    sensor wire to sending unit is shorting out to ground,,, will need trace wire out or jumper the around the shorted section,, will need to be render useless
