I have a 440 skid steer that turns over way to long before it will finally start dose anyone know the problem
Im assuming its a Case 440. Is it a series 3 (there will be a decal saying that) Long cranking can be caused by multiple things, but the most likely is that the fuel lift pump is getting weak, and bleeding fuel back to tank. This give a partial air lock, and long crank times. Once it has been running, does it start ok, unless it sits for a few hours?
