475a-3 Super Dozer Blade pitch wont work, and torque converter wont stay locked up

I have changed dash moniter panel, machine controller, repaired rubbed through wires, checked wireing harness, etc. any advice or tips on where to go from here? I'm thinking when they dismantled for shipping they may have reinstalled some wires wrong, but there is no way of telling which soleniod is which by reading the service manual or wireing diagram. I'm getting a call 03 with 334 disconnect in pitchback solenoid code, that is all. I have checked and rechecked the wireing is fine, the switch in the handle is new and fine. the engine and trans are new. pulling what I have left of hair out...thanks for your time. All solenoids have Ohms in spec. :Banghead

Hi, I hope I can be of some help I have a decent amount of experience with the 475-3. My first recommendation is that you set the body code for the controller, the different varients use the same wiring to do different things, if your machine isn't set to the correct body code it will be looking for a signal from the wrong place (there will be a section in the test and adjust section of the shop manual that will explain how to do this). As for finding solenoids, at the front of the trouble shooting section there is and exploded view of the machine that shows where all the connectors are, there will also be a list of what these connectors are for and there number and location on the exploded view. If you look at the specific fault in the trouble shooting section it will show you the circuit for the pitch contol, on the circuit all the connectors will be numbered, you need to record these numbers and look them up on the connector location list mentioned eariler then reference it to the exploded view, this will show you there location on the machine. All the connectors on your machine will have a tiny little tag cable tied to them (if they haven't all been removed over the years), this is the connector number, it will appear in the both the connector list and on the circuit diagrams. One more thing to be aware of, in the area of blade control the single, dual tilt and super dozer are very different machines, as i said earlier the machine use the same wiring to do different functions so be sure that firstly you actually have a super dozer varient (on the seriel plate it should say 475aSD-3, if it doesn't you may actually have a dual tilt machine) and secondly make sure you have a super dozer wiring diagram. Hope this helps, let me know if you require further assistance.cheers.

Just to make sure did you calibrate the new controllers, and the new blade control. This will also be in the test and adjusting section. You will get all kinds of problems if not. It is showing a disconnect right and not a fill switch problem? Also take the bottom of the blade control apart. It is real easy two 4 mm allen head bolts. pull apart real easy, nothing in there will jump out but you don't want to damage anything. Look at the servos in there and make sure that the pins and servos are connected, if not you will have the problem you are having. U can tell which on goes where because of the blue paint pen mark, they will line up if right. The controller will see it out of range and give a disconnect error. Also the plunger or spool (depending on the side of the valve it is on) could be stuck.

As for your torque converter is is hydrostatic, auto locker, I cant remember, but it also has the same solenoids and switches like your hydro control valve. You will just need to replace the whole control valve on it it can not be repaired or rebuild. pull it apart and look for rust or pitting on the spools that control it. If it does just buy a new one, sorry! I have a lot of experience with the trannys and torque converters they are just as sensitive as the hydraulics.
