Hey folks, new here! My father in-law has a clean 86 544d( dont know the serial). The lift seems to bleed down alittle, any idea on that, could it be a seal or a check valve? Other question is where can we get a good service manual? Download, buy or whatever. Thanks for your help. G
Welcome,I have found that a laser temp gun is a very good tool for locating bleed-by in hyd systems. I've seen service manuals for your machine listed on ebay but they are pretty pricey. Where in texas?
If you're willing to spend some money, you can order any manual you want directly from Deere. All you'll need is the ser# of the machine. They aren't cheap, but they actually print the version of the manual that coincides with the ser#. Takes about a week.
The loader is out at Lake Fork. Even being an Aircraft mechanic i'm lost. So i really need to get the manual. Is hard to get to with the laser?
Can you tell me how to use a temp laser locating bleed-by?
Avi at the point of bleedby there will be a temp increase. By compareing temps you should be able to isolate the bleedby.
