I just bought a 1980 John Deere track loader 555g. It appears that the track on the left side track is loose. How does one go about tightening it if that is poosible. Thanks
chuckalan Try lubing the track just behind the front wheel or any other lube fitting on that side... The grease builds up pressure and expands the links to tighten them. If that doesn't work, then you might have a more serious problem.
Be very carful that you don't tighten it too much it will tear up your sprocket
