I'm losing fluid from the master cylinder. I can find no leaks. No puddles of fluid on the ground. Could the fluid be going into the differential? If so, what needs to be done to spot that from happening? Could it be by passing the actuator assembly? what steps do you recommend i take to correct the problem? Thanks E
Need to know if it's a phase 1 machine, gear shift lever in the floor and trans dipstick access under you feet when operating the loader. Phase 3 machine shifter on the dash to the rt and dipstick for the trans behind the seat. Yes you could be loosing fluid on the slave cylinder above the brake housing phase 1 and leaking into the brake /transaxle fluid. Also may be leaking into the transaxle from the piston assembly on a phase 3. The ser# JJG0020000 is the start of phase 3 machines.
The Product ID # is JJGOO18525 Will i need to take off the wheels to get to the acuator? Thanks E
Need to wash or blow the crud from that area over the brake housing. You should be able to remove the boot on top, loosen the two nuts on the threaded rod all the way off, loosen the brake line at the cylinder, loosen and remove the retainer clips, finish unscrewing the brake line, bump the cylinder and slide it up off the adjustment rod. It needs to be clean, any crud left will fall into the brake housing, your machine has wet brakes and you don't need dirt in there. Option two, remove the drain plug at the rear, holds 5 gal fluid, do the same steps as in the first, also remove the cover on the brake housing, side your brake disc and actuator off the side gear shaft, you will have to wiggle the cylinder and rod a little. You will need a o ring or two and some form a gasket to go back, would not put the used oil back in it, change it out. You may not like the looks of the brake plates and disc when you open it up, they are kind of steep in price. More if needed and I leave the wheels on unless removing the trans axle.
