pushing scrub vegetation and tractor stopped running. No hints, stalling, sputter, nothing. Would not re-start and pick up fuel Tank full, filter clean and no visible air leaks or bubbles.
Fuel solenoid possibly if it's not opening hold it open with hay wire to get it started.
Check for voltage at the shut-off solenoid and remove the banjo bolt (#10) and see if it is clogged with crap.
Key to all diesels, if it will crank, do you have white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe? I work in generators, tractors, trucks, this is the first thing to look for when cranking but not starting. No smoke puffing out of the exhaust pipe means you are not getting fuel. Many reasons not to get fuel, but that will at least take any starting aids like glowplugs out of the equation. And compression also.
U can use a 15/16 open end wrench to remove the solenoid and take the guts out (spring and plunger) and screw the body back into the pump.. THAT will bypass any electrical gremlins to the pump.. Be sure to crack open all the injector lines or as many as u can reach to bleed and trapped air.
