I need a new clutch in my 580b. I am thinking about pulling the motor out to do the clutch job. we had it split a couple years ago to rebuild the trans, and didn't realize the clutch was almost gone, as we bought it with the bad trans. It looks easier to just pull the rad, front axle and motor to me. any thoughts?
you do not need to remove anything to get the motor to roll out except the suction tube in front of the radiator and the nipples that screw into the side frames where the suction tubes go on, support the tractor rear so it cannot shift and put jacks under the frame on each side. put wedges in the front axle so the engine cannot roll side to side disconnect everything and roll the front away as a complete unit.
nice, thanks.
