I just picked up a 580se that doesnt have any brake on the left side, pedal goes down without resistance, does this have a master cylinder set up or is it mechanical. If so where is it located. Any info appreciated.
The master cylinders are located in the dash. I can't remember if the e model had oval covers on top of the dash or not. Remove the gauges. There are 4 screws, a tachometer cable and an electrical connection. Look down to the left. Check your owners manual for the correct type of fluid.
