TIP OF THE DAY: don't lubricate them with a petroleum base lubricant. Dissolves the adhesive. Those pesky seals will bunch up and make the windows immovable. To replace them is an expensive and tedious job. At 50.00 for a strip of adhesive foam you want to get it right the first time. I don't know how they do it at the factory but this procedure worked for me the best: Clean track thoroughly with alcohol. Make sure you identify which grooves get seals. You have to remove the paper adhesive backing after the foam strip is inserted in the track. If they would would have left a long tail on it, you could have folded it over and pulled it out underneath from the opposite end. I doubled a length of small string in the track underneath the new foam strip. You push the strip out the start end, curl the adhesive backing down and back toward the opposite end. Super glue the strings to the paper backing with just a little glue. Make sure they are securely fastened. Pull the foam strip back even with the track end and press down. Have an assistant slowly pull the string to pull the paper backing underneath while you press down to bond. The foam strip in just a little wide to push into the track from the top. The adhesive wants to grab the sides and tilt the strip sideways. Remember: you only get one shot to do it or you will be buying another strip.
