94’ 650g peddle steer. Steers great to the right. Very hard to steer to the left. Most of the time pushing as hard as you can on the pedal dose nothing. Have found 2 things- pushing down and quickly releasing the right pedal will make the left pedal work to steer the machine for a short time and second, it seems the longer you run the machine it appears to get a little better through out the day just to return the next. Any suggestions as to where to start trouble shooting?
Oh. Forgot to mention peddles come right up when started but one is a little lower- no lights on the dash ever. Have not changed any fluids or cut open filters yet. Bought this machine used a few years ago, probably put 100 hours on it. Has right around 6000 total. Want to get into it and fix it. Great machine otherwise. Also I’m not a new member I just can’t get into my old username for some reason.
You will need to go through the pedal adjustments. That should take care of it. Sounds like the clutch is not releasing when the brake is applied. Should be in your operator's manual. If you don't have one then buy yourself one (OMT163974) or buy the operation and test manual (TM1403).
