Hello all, new here and I come with tractor problems. Just acquired an 85 310c with no reverse which is rather inconvenient. The linkage seems to move and engage in its stops yet forward and neutral are forward and reverse is neutral. Wondering if that sensor at the trans/linkage connection point might be the culprit. Welcome to HEF Powerlink! Your hoe uses the Borg Warner reverser - Gauranteed 100%, you have a failure of the forward clutch pack bellville washer, which has permanently locked the tractor into fwd. So, when in neutral, it drives fwd & when in rev, it wont go anywhere as it is trying to do fwd & rev at the same time. Sorry, but the reverser has to come out & be overhauled.
