924g tire pressure

Have a 924g that we are using as a IT (integrated toolcarrier). Have a bucket, forks and a boom attachment. Most of the work is with the forks and sometimes spreading rock/ moving dirt with the bucket. Manual lists "shipping pressure" of 50 front and like 25 psi for the rear. It says to contact CAT for your particular use to get psi for the tires. Anyway the boss man says no- the shipping pressure is the operating pressure, and I feel like we are running around with 1/2 flat tires. What psi do most guys run in a wheel loader this size? Most of the fork work is palletized stuff in the 3-4k lbs range, and the bucket isn't that big. Suggestions?

The manuals only can give an estimated tyre pressure as they don't know what your use is . With a 4X4 loader/tractor without a center diff , the tyres should be inflated so that the tyre stays as round as possible while the machine is loaded . Front tyres with a huge bulge at the bottom will fight the rear tyres and cause undue wear on the tyres and drive line . I loaded my machine to it's capacity and then pumped the tyres up until they were as round as possible . I then checked the pressures , they were 25psi . The manual says 15-20 . I can go from 4X4 too 4X2 and back again on the run without a sound from the drive line . If you can't do this in your machine , your suspicions are probably correct , they maybe under inflated . on edit : my machine is a 4X4 tractor with smaller radial front tyres but the principal is the same . 50psi in yours sounds pretty close .

Usually you go by the tire manufacturers psi specifications
