I have a 941 Cat track loader that seems to be losing lift and bucket power. It seems to be moving ok but the power is not there. Is this a hydraulic pump issue or something else. I would really appreciate your help and advice
Have never worked on your exact model. But to start things off right might be an idea to post your serial number as there could be multiple changes. Have you changed all your filters. Does the engine drop a lot of RPM when lifting or does the RPM stay okay just doesn't have lifting power. Need to get some testing done before throwing parts at it. How many hours per year do you put on it? How many hours on the lift cylinders if you know. If you decide to change hydraulic filter, don't throw out without cutting open and checking the filter paper for steel, packing materials and the like. If you answer these questions, someone who has worked on a lot may give you some other simple checks. Simon C
I would guess you are right on the pump Ring is probably worn and vanes are worn flat you can just change the cartridge just make sure you match direction arrows on old cartridge to new cartridge
thank you for advice and assistance. it is much appreciated

Post a machine Serial Number and it may be possible to identify some Part Numbers to look for in respect of pump parts.
