Hey sorry for the question I seen a few threads on this already but seen some use sae30/sae50 in steering clutches and also is the trans/bevel gear the same oil. Would be awesome to get a breakdown of every single fluid and amount updated

Same question as was mentioned on your undercarriage thread. Post a Serial Number for accurate information. You would benefit from getting hold of an Operaiton & Maintenance Manual and that is also dependent on Serial Number.

OK, you have a very early 955L. The K model changed to the L at 85J4672. You need SEBU6520 as a Maintenance Manual and SEBU5511 as an Operation Manual. If you can't find used versions for sale both can be downloaded from the Cat Pubs web site for $30 each. For your climate the recommendation is SAE30 TO-4 spec oil in both the transmission and the bevel gear & steering clutch compartments, and SAE50 TO-4 in the final drives. NOTE that SEBU6520 (which has not been updated in decades) still calls for TO-2 specification oils. However TO-2 was superceded by TO-4 over 30 years ago.
