96 D4hXl transmisson fliter light

KyleL94 · 2023-07-15 17:37

dh4xl transmission light and buzzer comes on about 15 to 20 min after running it, and slowly stops pulling and not wanting to go in gear unless revved wide open and then barley still wants to pull. but once it slowly takes off pulling it walks at normal speed. New filter, new cat oil, and screen cleaned but still throws a fit. and if your moving when its doing it and steer either left or right it almost stops then takes off agin but feels like its loosing pressure then picks up pressure again thens takes back off

You will need to post your machine serial number. Do you have any fault codes displayed on the monitor?

how you check the codes on one, mine doesnt have any where to check for them digitally, all i got is lights

In your OP you said "transmission light". Do you mean the plugged filter light (6) or the high transmission temperature light (3).? If it's the high temperature light then I would suggest the first thing to do would be confirm the actual temperatures at the torque converter outlet (or powertrain cooler inlet) with an infra-red thermometer. Do you have pressure gauges if it gets to the point of needing to measure pressures.?

It’s the plugged filter light is the one that keeps coming on when it does it. 2 and 4 stay on all the time flashing, I’ve been checking grounds on them to make sure it’s not the sensors

Those are the lights for high coolant and hydraulic temperature. Do those two lights stay on all the time or just when the plugged filter light comes on.?

Sorry this one slipped through the cranks. I think you might well be advised to chase down the electrical issues that are causing the high coolant temp and high hydraulic temp to stay on permanently even when the key is turned on with a cold engine. I'll send you a copy of the electrical schematic to help you troubleshoot it. Keep an eye on your messages.
