Hye all, details of loader as below: Model 966H Machine SN: A6J1268 Have a problem with the lifting no power. Checked the cut off pressure at max lifting cylinder extension cut off around 2000PSI. Same goes for rack back. We have another 966H and tested that the pressure cuts off at 4000 PSI (believe spec should be around here also). Have replaced valve 235-6160 because we thought this was the culprit. Pump has also been swapped with new. Result still the same. Anyone have any advice where/what to look for next? Don't really have the hydraulic diagram, not sure if there's any more relief valve anywhere that's related to both rack back and lifting implement. Thanks in advance
Edit, pressure unit is in kpa not PSI sorry
The first question is - are there any Active Diagnostic Codes.? There is a SERV CODE icon in the RH side of the arrowed window. It should light up during the self-test of the instrument panel when the key is initially turned on. If it goes out after that - no Codes. If it stays lit there are Codes that should be investigated before continuing to throw parts at the machine.
Second question. Does the tilt function have full power.?
Hi Nige, sorry forgot to include, there was no fault code active/recorded when checking with our ET. As for tilt function, we can't really tell if there's any difference in power. However, at the moment, we believe it is also affected since when we tested the pressure, both tilt and lift pressure maxed out at 2000kpa fully extended. Both pressure same reading
If both lift & tilt functions read the same pressure (2000kPa/300psi) then the problem would appear to be somewhere upstream in the common parts (pump & pump controls) of the system. I can send you a hydraulic schematic. Keep an eye on your message inbox. How did this problem start.? Was it "good one day, bad the next" or has it slowly got worse over time until it is where it is at this point in time.?
Hye Nige, thanks a lot for the diagrams this will help a ton. As far as our concern, this seems like a sudden issue. But I'm pretty sure with the diagrams we can diagnose much more efficiently. I'll update once we have any new findings.
I sent you something else that may be even more useful.
Yes, this will most definitely help! Very grateful for this thank you
Update on the repair, finally manage to pinpoint the problem. It was related to valve gp margin relief. Swapped with new unit and new seals, problem solved. Thanks again Nige for the reference drawing!
