First we need to know if it has a powershift or the 4 speed on the floor. Check to see if the park brake is fully released. Check the fuse panel for a blown fuse, they need 12 volt power to make them go F/R. You will need to check your clutch cut outs in the loader handle and gear shift lever, it may be causing you issues.

Thanks, Sheepfoot! It is a 4 in the floor with shuttle shift on the colum. can you tell me more about the clutch cut outs, where they are in Loader Handle & Gear shift lever? what they look like? machnical or elect.? it was working fine. parked it. a few days later cranked it, tried to go, but it wouldn't. the hydraulics work fine on front and rear buckets. Just no forward or backward. do you know of any free dn lds of parts or repair manuals?

will not go forward or reverse The first thing is to make sure it's in gear (4) speed when trying, it happens more than you think. The next thing is to find the fuse panel, you are looking for a 5 amp fuse, it should be in the F4/A slot, remove and check, replace, retry. Both the loader lever and the gear shift lever have a push button switch that you push to stop the machine from pulling to give full power to the hyd or shifting gears, ( transmission disconnect or clutch cut out switches they are called ) when you push either one the machine de-energizes the solenoid and the trans stops. If either switch is stuck after being pushed in the machine will not move, you can unhook the harness under the floor/frame for each to take them out of the trouble shooting or unscrew them out of the handle and check with a test meter (screws are small) unhook one term and machine may move, or could have a rub in the harness going down the lever. I have seen the contacts in the f/r lever bad also. You may also need to check the trans pressure because it could be a pressure issue and not elect also. Have you checked the fluid level in the trans.
