Hi, we have just put a new short block in our loading shovel which has been sat for nearly 2 years and we are trying to make sure it runs before putting all radiators and everything else back on the machine, just wanting to check if any of these fault codes might be stopping it starting? 30 0096.03 30 0826.04 81 2684.05 36 02791.05 36 0275.04 82 0562.09 Serial number A7G00784
Are all the Codes on that list above Active..? In other words is the SERV CODE icon lit on the main Monitor display for each and every one of them.? Can you double check the 36.02791.05 Code. It does not exist as far as I can see, and it is an Engine ECM Code so it could be important.
Hi nige, active ones are 30 0826.04 36 0275.04 And typo on that code, it is actually 36.0291.05
But that fault code isn’t showing as active
So the two active ones are :- 30.0826.04 - Torque converter temp sender, signal voltage below normal. 36.0275.04 - Turbo inlet pressure, signal voltage below normal. I can't see how either of those Codes would prevent the engine cranking up, although the 36.0275.04 might cause reduced power. See attached.
Here's a thought. Will it fire off using a small squirt of Easy-Start.?
Woof air. Must by Friday night on the beers
Follow up on this issue, had someone come plug into the machine with ET and it wouldn’t talk to the engine ecu, so he took it away and bench tested it and everything was fine, so it was put back on to the machine and then tried again and fired first time! So maybe a bad connection? We are now onto our next issue where we have lost all drive! We have got 380 psi at the transmission filter but no pressure in forward or reverse in any gear any help would be appreciated.
Any Diagnostic Codes.?
36 275.04 36 94.03 81 627.03 These are the only 3 active
When you shift it into gear does the monitor indicate what gear it’s in ?
It is yes so it shows forwards and reverse but does nothing, doesn’t matter what gear it is in also
First two are engine, 3rd is transmission 36 275.04 - turbo inlet pressure sensor. Voltage below normal. 36 94.03 - fuel pressure sensor. Voltage above normal. 81 627.03 - Parking brake Switch. Viltage above normal. The error on the park brake switch could well be preventing the transmission engaging into gear. I'll have to get back to you later with a troubleshooting procedure.
Thanks for that nige
OK, so for the two engine Codes the procedure is the same - "Engine Pressure Sensor Open or Short Circuit - Test" See attached. Also the procedure for the parking brake pressure switch. I don't know if you already have a complete electrical schematic but you will probably need one.
