After doing some reading some guys say a track loader should steer with just toe pressure.... Is that meaning to disengage the clutches or to come onto the brakes? I have yet to be on a track loader that will hold a brake with JUST toe pressure. My 977L disengages clutch very easily but to get it to really turn with brakes it takes a fair push. Is this the norm or do most machines really steer with just toe pressure? Because I haven't ran one yet?:beatsme
It depends on the load you are pushing. A heavy load pushes the brake for you. The light toe pressure assures you the clutches are released and you are not steering with partially released clutches. Running on hard surface or in reverse requires more pressure, sorry for the confusion. Later Bob
If your travel to your breaks is too far you can adjust them pretty easy, my 977l doesnt turn with "toe pressure" but its not too rediculous. Sure beats the old levers and brakes!
