I have a Deere 310se backhoe. Park brakes sets randomly. Chased electrical, no luck checked park brake valve, even swapped it out with diff lock cable. Same issue. Feels as if it goes into neutral before park brake sets.the releases. Any thoughts? Thanks

Welcome to HEF Matthew ! Serial number please. Make sure your transmission oil level is correct. Checked with the trans warm and the engine idling. Did you try swapping the solenoid "valve" assemblies?

Fluid levels are good. Swapped valves. Bypassed pressure switch. Randomly sets and releases. Checked fuses for being dirty or loose. Swapped relays. Checked wire going to starter.

Serial number is TO310SE845838. When park brake sets park brake light comes on, seatbelt light comes on, stop light comes on with alarm.

The E02 white wire? Do you have gauges? If you are sure you are not dropping voltage, then the next thing to do is to check park brake pressure. Leave a gauge in it until it engages on it's own to see what the pressure is before and after engagement (spec is 232 - 290 psi). Is your machine a power shift (4 speeds on FNR) or a manual transmission (4 speed on the floor)?

Problem solved, trans dip stick tube is bent and giving an incorrect reading on fluid level. Added hydraulic fluid, seems to be working fine. Thanks for the info!
