or can they be between different manufactures ? don't like my chances of finding a good price set of chains for a Deere ...maybe a set of cat chains might fit my 855 ...
If it is based off an 850, the chains from a D6C or dD will fit.
Try allmakesolutions.com or 800 255 6253 I got a set of rails there about a year ago. Rails shipping all in total was 1500.00 the local Deere dealer wanted 3000.00 per side plus shipping. Hope they can help you as well as they did me. Great people to work with delivered what they said when they said. Sorry to the mods if listing a website in a reply is against the rules
its looks like this 51 kw ... Going to speak to a guy about rotating the bushes and pins,i can move the tracks around on the ground, they seem to have a lot of side movement, must be in the pins...The track links look good though...these things ahve 38 links.. wrc...thats great thanks..that price is minblowingly cheap, what machine did you order those rails (haha) for mate ?
wrc..checked the site out, they have a load of stuff there...they even have gear i,m looking for..
I'm not sure a pin and bushing turn will work out for you. That is a good route if you have external wear but the pin to bushing clearance is still tight. If you are already seeing the internal wear develop, odds are you will be breaking pins long before you get the rest of the life out of your rails.
I ordered for a 690d Deere excavator. They only have about 700 hours but seem good so far.
Thanks Deertracks..that was my fear..not had much to do with track link pin wear..i am surprised the links are still good but pins seem shot..is it worth pulling aprt to see it is it bush or pin wear ? or likely to be both.i wonder if buying new pins are an option..i shot an email off to AMS to see what tehy can do for now..
You wouldn't want to replace just the pins. The pins and bushings both wear out. Track shops can get just pin/bushing kits to install but when you look at the labor involved many times it doesn't pencil. Especially if the rails are borderline. I tried it on a 750c that was in for a pin/bushing turn. Many of the seals had failed and all of those dry bushings were junk and needed replaced. It wasn't in the budget to replace the entire u/c so i opted to use import quality Lubed pins/bushings just to get it back together. TERRIBLE IDEA! In just a few hours the tracks were squealing and after about 1200hrs they were junk. I then did a complete Berco u/c.
nighmarish... i think your advice is good deertracks...actually looked at these things a bit closer and tehy are gone...the master is about to tear its way from the bush, even the bush is not even where it should be and just shy of the link, its holding together by a pin... I will have to change them out before it goes anywhere,no choice or else it will go down mid run somehwere and i'll be tellling myself "i told me so" AMS got back to me,a set of chains for $6000.00 which i think is ok ...WRC ..they are excellent to deal with...amongst the best ive' come across...
Just be careful about any V-Track products. I've had awful luck with anything from them.
tell us more deertracks...one of teh quotes i got was from constructionundercarridge.com....they do V-Tracks
I had a 700H salt chain that started leaking at 1500hrs, a 750c front idler that snapped an axle at 800hrs. Upon inspection we found machining debris inside the oil cavity that wasn't cleaned out before assembly. I spoke to a Vtrack dealer that stopped selling their idlers for the same reason. We bought a used 850J that the dealer had just turned pins/bushings and installed vtrack segments. 1100hrs and you could shave with them.
