Anyone know where I can get either a rebuilt starter for my old Kamatsu D20s-3 track loader or an armiture and brushes? Solinoid is good. Thanks Tom G
It seems no one likes to respond to starter questions. Surely someone must have found a way to get parts or make things work but I don't see anyone advertising it.
You need to check around for a starter alternator rebuilder in your area, they can compare bendix drive/mounting flange to what is otherwise available and come up with an interchange component. Most likely it will have a 40MT, 42MT or 28MT Delco clone on it from Japan. Starter on my Allis was a 32MT but was convertible readily to a 40MT with no issues. Biggest problem will be length and bendix tooth count/diameter.
