   U blade/ Semi U blade This covers both blades. U blades are better for longer pushes that require carrying material. Semi U blades are better for general dozer work & mixing.

   does this mean that straight blades are mainly used ,just for final trim work?

   I think only D7 down had straight blades now they are all semi u, then those papt blades D6N/K to D3's my experence with straight blades that they not the best for anything other than bunting scrapers

   D6/D7 LGP arrangements provide a straight blade instead of the semi U.
