So this machine has 3800 hrs on it.its used on our farm and is greased regularly. I’m trying to figure out if the slew bearing is going out of if something is wrong with the swing motor/swing brake. When you swing the machine it feels like the brake is on and as soon as you release the controls it stop suddenly. There is a squealing noise certain times. If you pick up the boom and jump out and push on the bucket by hand it rocks back and forth with the play like the bearing is free. Check pilot pressure at the dual sequence valve going to the swing break and it was 400 psi. You have to pull cab to remove swing motor. My question is there a good way to manually release or test swing motor without removing. I’m but sure how those motors work. Any help would be appreciated.
