Got a little deutz 1012 thats filling the crankcase with diesel. As far as i know there is a belt driven pump on the front of the engine that sends fuel through the block to the hips pumps. No clue as to what pressure this happens at. Was thinking {hoping} there is a simple fix for this? Cant find a manual online for this engine thats in english...
Dont know alot about deutz engines in general, but the one we have has two O rings fitted to each injector pump unit, one either side of the fuel gallery through the block and they do fail
that was my question, is the fuel gallery in the block itself? which you have answered. This machine has either lost those orings or blew a tip off the injector. Hope to get to it this weekend and pull some stuff apart. Is there any info out there on what not to do when removing/reinstalling the IP's? figure ill pop the injectors out too and give them a look. ive got a little pop tester.
