I have a bobcat 873 when you try and turn to steer you push one lira one way the other of the opposite the machine lurches and all the sudden goes in one direction or the other forwards or backwards but does not steer thinking something it might be broken inside of the main hydraulic pumps it doesn't matter which leave where you pull and you never know if it's going to go backwards or forwards not cable driven linkage drivenhave 5 Bobcat never experienced this onekind of stumped here
typically steering problems are from loose/broken/worn steering pintle levers :drinkup
I understand exactly what you're saying I have had many of these apart had many of them that the pintle levers had to be replaced from 753'stos200's.bought this one at auction.last week no battery to run it was stated it had steering issues.rebuilt many engines and complete drivetrains I have a full machine shop and repair shop i buy and fix them rent them out for snow to many contrator friends..never had 3stage pumps apart.the pintles are new .set all linkage to book procedure.now have it up on blocks under axles.started up raise the cab push both levers forward machine wants to go forward push both levers backwards machine wants to go backwards.if you try to turn you can push one lever all the way backwards and the other lever all the way forward.momentarily you will think the machine is going to turn all of the sudden the leavers didnt move but the pumps are overridden somehow..did you ever have those pumps apart could something be overriding from one pump to the other but the machine goes either completely backwards or completely forwards both drive sides and yet liters are in two opposite directions
makes no sense to me :beatsme what happens to the charge pressure when this happens? :drinkup
