I have a 2010 bobcat s 650 died on me cant get it to start when i push the run button everything comes on the left panel the right panel(deluxe panel) lights up but only displays bobcat does not allow me to enter passcode anyone have any ideas
Try disconnecting the battery for 5-10 min and hook it back up and try again. maybe resetting the ecu will get you up and running. id give the dealer a call too, may be a software update to install.
Tried to disconnect battery didn't do anything phoned two different dealers one said might need software update the other one said could be the push button ignition switch. how do you test push button switch to see if it is good or bad
If you hold the headlight switch for a few seconds do you get an error code?
no don't get any codes
does the display say "none" ? on the m series, the LH panel uses the info button, not the light switch to pull active codes is the cab fuse good? you can remove the run/stop/start membrane switch and plug a keyed switch in to "check" the switch. the deluxe panel doesnt care what switch is installed, harness connections are the same for both. a software update is probably not your problem. also might be a goo idea to pull and comepletely clean and inspect your battery posts and cable ends, especially the small ground wires at the neg post. many seemingly "major" electrical problems start right at the battery. :drinkup
The display says none for codes. I pulled the battery posts off cleaned them both real good installed new fully charged battery. cab fuse where is that located? I checked all the fuses in the fuse box all are good.
cab fuse is a 5a located in the fuse/relay box. :drinkup
Ok thanks going to check fuses again and going to replace push button switch I will post an update after I do this
So I replaced the the push button switch (start, stop, run, switch) checked all the fuses all are good checked and cleaned battery connections again all are good still same thing deluxe panel only displays bobcat when I push the run button anything else a guy could check.
Screw it, try to jump the starter with the screen lit up and see if it runs...
remove both the panels, find the red or red/white 12v+ wires, and the black grounds on both connectors. check for power and ground with the key off, you should see 12v. with the harnesses reconnected, and key on, backprobe the orange wires, you should see 12v. if you dont have power and ground through the harness, move your ground to a good known frame ground, and recheck for 12v. one of most common places to loose 12v+ or ground is at the cab harness to mainframe connector located under the cab.
You could maybe unfasten fuse panel (besdie left foot) and check for dirt or water debree on backside connections
Well I checked both panels both have 12v coming to them checked cab harness to main frame connector under cab looked good.Still have same problem push the run button right hand display (deluxe panel) still just displays bobcat does not allow me to enter pass code. Any other ideas I could check?
sounds like you may have a bad panel, it happens sometimes...
Got machine running. What I did was disconnected fuel shut off solenoid run power to solenoid(red wire on solenoid) jump started it at starter machine running got in the machine hit the run button both panels light up deluxe panel allowed me to enter pass code shut machine off hook fuel shut off solenoid back up get back in back in hit everything comes on normal allows me to enter pass code fires right up shut it off and on few times everything seems to be fine now. Not sure if with machine running give it extra voltage to help boot up display(deluxe panel) maybe?? but all is good now thanks everyone for the replies and help.
