Bucket size

Hey guys, Can someone tell me what is the formula to tell me how much dirt my bucket on the front of my backhoe will hold ? .... Thanks in advance ....

    What is the size of your bucket? That is how much dirt it will hold.

    You got me WOLF.. Maybe I should have been a little more clear about my question, Can someone tell me the formula to tell me how much in YARDS can be held in a bucket on the front of my backhoe...

    You could treat it like a cylinder cut down the middle. Estimate the diameter of the side of the bucket if the bucket was a true circle, then use the formula 3.14 x radius squared x height or width of the bucket. Divide that number in half and you will have your struck capacity, or a good guess atleast.

    It may be easier to post the model, year and serial number of your machine, along with a photo. Someone on the forum is sure to have the information somewhere.
