Bushings on old JD Back Hoe

CP1 · 2021-07-24 10:59

Rebuilding/ restoring my 300 JD backhoe, and finding parts last made for it were in ‘85. So wanting to replace pins and bushings.... what I find are bushings like in my picture. Look hard like a bearing race, and one snug inside another. Then grease inbetween. Look to be long lasting but some have to be replaced. Does other mfg’s use this same setup? If I can’t get them from Deere, do others make them? Maybe have them available by ID and OD like bearings? Or is there a better way to go as an improvement since 1969 when this was made? Thanks for your help

Hello CP1, Cat has a good selection of plain hardened steel bushings. But, trying to find the correct part number is black magic. Attached is a handy chart from the old days. Good luck. Coaldust
