I was working with my bobcat 773 some time ago and the buzzer kept going off and the bobcat code HF1-2 came up .The manual indicated that the first filter was highly restricted. Can anyone help me identify what are the first and second filters?
open the engine door above and to the right of the engine is the hyd filter. change it and see what happens. the filter restriction switch is located in the filter head. i believe there are 3 switches on the filter head one for hyd temp, one for charge pressure, and the 3rd is the restriction switch :drinkup
Thank you crewchief888. The bobcat is now showing code HP-3. The manual is saying that it means wiring is not connected. Can anyone help me identify what can be the problem or where the problem can be located on the machine? :beatsme
HP3 probably the charge pressure switch on the filter head. there are 2 different types one has 2 wires connected with screw terminals the other is a molded plug in connector if you have the molded connector, unplug it, if it's full of oil that will cause a false reading if thats the case, replace the switch if it's the 2 connector screw type, check the wiring at the terminals, if that is ok, replace the switch. :drinkup
Thanks man.Having fun doing mechanic work :cool2
it's not just a job, it's an adventure.. :drinkup
So today started my work on the bobcat.Changed the filter and tilt and lift spools seals and o-rings. One thing the HP 3 is showing . Been checking the switches but cant seem to find the right one.
^^^^ see above :drinkup:usa
HF 1-2 came off eventually. HP 3 stopped now. Now leaking is coming from the coupling.Worked the machine and it sounds powerful. Cheers man!!!!
Problems again The skid steer is closing off during work. I noticed the fuel ball is sucking in so when I pump it, the skid steer works then the same thing happens all over again. Can anyone tell me where I can order reasonable skid steer parts? Thanks!!!!!!!!
primer bulb sucking flat? either A : plugged vent in the fuel cap B : suction screen plugged in the fuel tank. everything you need for the fuel tank (screen, clamps, hose, and grommet) costs $20 -$25 at the nearest bobcat dealer, usually a good idea to replace the filter and primer bulb while you are at it if you have a bunch of crap in the tank, and it sounds like you do, pull the plug in the bottom of the tank. drain out 3-5 gal and you'll usually get all the debris out thats plugging the screen grab a new grommet for the drain as well.. :drinkup
Thanks. Goin to deal with it now. Was thinking about cleaning the tank but wasn't sure.
