I used a "7/8"-18 ZINC PLATED TRE JAM NUT RH LH FOR ROD ENDS-OFF ROAD-4 LINK SUSPENSION from ebay" rather than making the special tool. Threaded on easily and with penetrating oil and pry bar/ screw drivers and wrenches for shims came right out in about ten minutes.
