Case 420ct-3 hydraulic case drain

Seeing if anybody can take a picture of where the case drain ties into the hydraulic tank of a case 420ct-3. I am getting a factory case drain and just need to know if it ties into the tee at the tank that already exists. There is a cap on it so that is where I think they put them on at the factory. Just wanted to make sure first. The unit is non-high flow.

The factory kit has instructions in it, but yes, the line has to go to a T on the hydraulic tank. If your getting the factory kit, the line will only reach so far, making it hard to install in the wrong place.

Thanks for the reply. I just got the kit but the instructions are pretty vague. My machine has a tee out of the tank with a hard line going down toward the belly pan. The upper side of that tee has the tee with the cap then a soft line off of that tee that goes up and tees into the forward side of the hydraulic filter housing. I'm worried it may be pressurized?

Any of the T fittings at the hydraulic tank only have tank pressure of 5psi or so. The hydraulic oil from the filter returns to the tank. This picture is probably the same one you have.

Thanks again for the reply. Got everything plumbed and wired in and you were right there wasn't any pressure on that tee. The problem I am having now is that I put the aux electric in the front as well as case drain and now the self level will not work. Didn't know if the add-ons had any effect on that system somehow. Doesn't seem like it would.

So all you did is install the case drain and the aux wiring, and now your self leveling doesn't work? I would start by looking under the cab again, and see if any connectors got knocked off when you were installing the kit maybe.

Checked everything. Even unplugged the aux electric and tried it. Still no self level. Found the self level valve and there are no wires going to it. Doesn't bother me too much because my old machine doesn't have it but it was nice.

Check the relief by the self leveling valve. (mark its position and count the turns first) Turn the relief all the way in, then turn it out 1 turn. Check self leveling operation. Turn in/out 1/4 turn at a time until happy. Spec for that relief is 1900psi. Just seems really odd that it happened right after you installed the case drain kit. It was just a case drain kit, right?
