This unit has 4 speed with shuttle shift forward and reverse. Everything works except brakes and clutch. Peddles just go to floor. What could be the cause?
To many series of 580s and not enough info to even get started, Standard or Hydraulic brakes? standard clutch or power shuttle?, 580, 580B-C -D -E, If possible Pics would help us identify what you have.
The two pedals on the left are right and left braking. The 3rd from the left is both right and left brakes. The last pedal on the right is the go-fast pedal. The clutch it electric. Look for a button on the floor aft of the left and right brake pedals. There is also an on off/on the dash the is linked to a switch on the brakes. If the switch is on, and you step on the brake the clutch is activated. The solenoid is on the left side of the shuttle transmission and is linked to the fwd/aft shifter arm. Have someone move it (not running) while you are under it and you'll see it move. The wires coming out of it pulls the valve to engage the clutch. Brakes two master (under the dash left oval panel) and two slaves (under the cab floor). Here is the list of parts to rebuild the brakes if needed. Also, it's a 580C
