Case 580 Construction King... Remove the carrier plates(I think they are called). The cast Iron plates behind the brake housing. Mine are cracked and leak my transmission oil out. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Newburg, I can tell you on a E model the transaxle has to be dropped so that they will clear the frame. It wasn't that bad of a job on the E. If yours is the same there are shims behind those plates that adjust ring and pinion lash and bearing preload. I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in to help you get fixed. jimr
