hoe-inforcash · 2022-01-03 06:41

Does anyone know if a case boom cylinder swivel hydraulic fitting case part# D60947 is rebuildable? these fittings are $340 new and i cant see spending that kind of money on a hydraulic fitting! there is a snap ring holding the barrel part of the fitting on! so was wondering if they can be rebuilt by me or is there someplace that i can send to be rebuilt! i hope so cuz if not it will ruin my budget! if anyone has a used one for sale message me im interested! thx craig

Is this the fitting (googled the case part number)? I am familiar with swivels, just not your application. If this is it, it looks just some o-rings to replace. If the swivel is damaged, you could buy one the ones below?? https://www.discounthydraulichose.c...el Joints&utm_content=Hydraulic Swivel Joints

Rebuilt the swivels on my C, same part, just 2 o-rings with 2 backup rings..No leaks for 4 years...I would suggest ordering new parts from Case for best results. My first attempt with o-rings out of the shop kits leaked..Get new back-up rings too, if the old ones are brittle they may break during disassembly..O-rings #16202, b-up rings #D61902....Just make sure to lube the crap out of parts when reassembling..

thx for the reply swetz, its the bottom one in that drawing! but when i go to that site and enter the case part number, no results! im not sure what case calls it other than a swivel joint, ill check again though. and mine is broken i need the second part in from the left on the bottom drawing! cant make out the number, im guessing its #2. actually thats not it either its very close though mine had a female flare on the number 2 part in that drawing! guess it wouldnt matter though i would just have to change fitting on the hose end! unless there is a reason the are like that! like i said in original post i have found the one under the case number but they want like almost 400 bucks for a new one! thats alot of money for a piece of metal that fits in the palm of your hand and allows you to connect hoses to your ram! Was hoping i could just get what i needed to fix it and save some money! maybe can find a used one thanks swetz for the info ill give that place a call tomorrow and see if they can help me!

Here is a LINK to the breakdown of your swivels. If the part isn't shown in the list, CNH no longer sells it -- usually. Click on the image and it will enlarge.

Just a suggestion, but. If you cannot repair your OEM swivel, you could modify it with off the shelf fittings. It would require some welding tho. Take your fitting apart and weld a NPT fitting of whatever would be easiest from the list in the image below, onto the barrel of the old one. That would allow a 90° swivel to be screwed onto it then. Here is a LIN K .

thx tinkerer, thats a great idea! ill check with cnh for the barrel first and if that dosent pan out then i will be useing that idea! it dosent really matter what fitting i weld on i just would have to have a special hose made with what ever fitting to make the connection! sounds like you have done this yourself! goes to show there is always more than one way to skin a cat! as they say! thx again! craig

That Surplus Center link above doesn't work. Here is one that does. LINK
