Hello Experts, I just purchased an old 580B Loader/Backhoe and am in need of some assistance from "the experts" - specifically, I am not sure if or how to test the fuel gauge or the sending unit to see which is not working. Can anyone assist me with this? I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thank you, lleavitt
Welcome to HEF lleavitt! You need to remove the wire at the sender unit & ground it. If the gauge moves to full its OK & the sender unit is faulty. If it fails to move either the gauge is faulty or the wiring to the gauge is open circuited somewhere. :drinkup
