Blew a outrigger cylinder packing the backhoe lost all the fluid. filled reservoir started backhoe engine up nothing would work, bled air out of pump & lines. Backhoe started operating, but very slow, the faster you rev up the engine the better it works, checked fluid level again had plenty of fluid. bled lines to make sure there was no more air in lines, this didn't help still operating very slow, do you think it may have messed up the pump?
Welcome to HEF DannyIrby! I'm afraid it doesn't look good for you. It's not the type of thing to just go & buy, & let's see if that fixes it. Due to their cost, a few hydraulic tests is what is required to confirm the situation. Ideally a test using a flowmeter. At least, a pressure test of the main relief, & see if it will respond to adjustment.
look down at the pump coupler where it fastens to the crank. I have seen the splines on the pump shaft strip.
