I am in Darwin Northern Territory and we have no Case agent here. I have 5 x case 590 backhoes and they have been great machines. The two oldest are 590SL's and one around at 8500 hrs has developed a problem with the power shuttle:at engine idle there is no drive forward or reverse, however if the engine revs are increased to around 1200rpm the shuttle kicks in. Oil, screen & filter are all good anyone heard of this problem! frednt darwin
Welcome to HEF Andre Tayler! With the hours on the machine, you could have any number of faults. There could be the control valve issue; worn charge pump sucking air; worn shuttle clutch packs; even a bad convertor. Take a look at this thread - most of the issues are discussed & other threads are linked. If you need to know anything else just ask. :drinkup
