I feel like I am lacking power. I just bought a Case 750k and it runs around 1600 rpm’s. That seems low and I want it to run around 1800 rpm’s minimum. I think the machine has been turned down due to being fleet owned.
Your high idle should be 2170-2270 for either a series 1 or series 2 machine. Check the linkage going to the throttle lever on the pump and make sure it is pulling the lever to the stop. If its not adjust the linkage so the lever just touches the adjuster bolt at full throttle.
I adjusted one of the linkages and then it idled way too high so I set it back to what it was. The deaccelerater pedal was sticking a little and I cleaned that up. That was last week and I haven’t had a chance to work on it this week.
