Hi i am awaiting a downloadable user/workshop manual for my 850b loader . My question is how do i check the transmission / torque converter fluid level via dipstick Do i do this hot or cold ? In netural or drive ? Thanks in advance for any help ! Also my local oil supplier here in aus suggests running a straight sae30wt engine oil does this sound correct ?
I check mine cold -- it calls for 8 gallons, I have 9 in mine. Not sure how you could check it warm, the dipstick leaves much to be desired. These have friction clutches in them, the last thing you want to do is run an engine oil in it. Most say to only use TCH -- I use tractor supply RENEW oil.
