Cat 12G Engine rebuild

Hi, We need to carry out rebuild on 3306 engine in a cat 12g, can engine come out of machine and leave tranny in place or do engine and tranny come out in 1 hit as a unit? Pretty confident in chassis would nt be possible with limited room under engine. Any advice would be tops Thanks

    yes you can pull the engine out by its self

    Yes, it comes out relatively easy..... one suggestion would be to replace all the hose's that run under the engine once you have it out. Especially those little air lines under there. Grandpa.
