Cat 216B Skid Steer Parking Brake Seat Belt Interlock Problem

2004 Cat 216B 0216BERLL00474 While operating normally the parking brake will engage locking out all functions. Sometimes both the seat belt and parking brake will light up. The solution so far has been to press the parking brake switch and continue, or to remove and replace the seat belt buckle and continue. This works for anywhere from a few minutes to a few seconds of operation. Some days it happens constantly while on others it waits 10 -15 minutes before starting to lock. It is very frustrating as well as a safety hazard when the bucket is under load. The machine is very clean and has no leaks except for a new small leak of hydraulic fluid seeping from the left hand pilot control. Can someone please guide me in the right direction to start the troubleshooting procedure?

There is no seat belt sensor in the 216B. The seat belt can be left unplugged and still operate. There is however, a seat pressure sensor, see attached, that activates by the operator sitting in the seat. The magnetic arm rest sensor had conductivity when closed, so I cleaned it and put some dielectric grease in the connector. The seat sensor is hard to get at to test, clean or put grease on. I jumpered the two wires together and the problem was solved for now until the machine has some down time when I can raise the cab and R&R the seat sensor.
